A humble bowl of piping hot gulab jamuns is a bliss anytime be it after meal or a quintessential evening snack. This short cut recipe to make gulab jamuns with bread is worth a try and keeper for days when you want to surprise your dear ones without much preparations in advance. Traditionally, gulab jamuns are made with khoya or mawa (Reduced milk solids), but these ‘Bread Gulab Jamuns’ made with bread and milk are equally delicious, rich and easy to make at the same time.

There are two ways to serve these ‘Bread Gulab Jamuns’ ….hot and cold. Either serve the old way with hot sugar syrup in bowls or cool the gulab jamuns, roll in desiccated coconut and serve in plates.
For the second way, gently take one soaked gulab jamun and roll in coconut powder. Similarly continue with the rest. Arrange these coconut coated gulab jamuns in a fancy serving plate and garnish with chopped dry fruits. Serve.
