Cabbage Kofta is a wonderful treat for all vegetarians and even those who are thorough non vegetarian cannot say No to this delectable curry. Shredded cabbage mixed with crumbled paneer and spices is shaped into cabbage balls and deep fried. Later these fried cabbage balls are dunked into a rich onion tomato based gravy and this hot kofta curry is paired with rotis, puris, naan, plain rice and pulao dishes. While Lauki Kofta is very popular and tastes absolute divine, we have now come up with this very unique recipe of Cabbage Kofta.
Generally while making this Kofta or Cabbage Balls what I do is, I throw everything into my food processor and pulse till all ingredients are chopped into fine and combine well as it becomes easier for me to shape that into balls. But if you don’t have a food processor, use your cutting n chopping skills, although I agree this manual work takes a little longer. But you know what, Taste is the ultimate test besides Presentation. It tastes so delish that you would make this recipe a keeper for some other day.
Cabbage Kofta makes a wonderful pairing with Mint Rice or Cumin Rice. Have it in lunch or dinner and you would also love to relish this in your Lunch box.

Notes -
Before you start frying the Cabbage Balls check with just one ball. If it breaks, then add some more chickpea flour to the mixture and then proceed with frying.
After making kofta curry keep it covered for at least half an hour and then serve, unless if you are in a hurry. This makes the balls delicious and soft as they get time to soak in the lovely flavors of gravy.
