This Punjabi style ‘Carrot & Mushroom Masala’ is a simple and irresistible combination of button mushrooms and fresh seasonal carrots in a spicy onion tomato based masala gravy. The natural sweetness of carrots blends very well with rich assorted spices that we have used here as both whole and ground form. Moreover, the aroma of freshly roasted and ground spices is sure to please your palate making it perfect to be served with all sorts of Indian breads, stir fries and rice dishes.
Did you know, carrot being one of the most popular root vegetable is also a good source of antioxidant agents. Furthermore, they are rich in vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, vitamin B8, pantothenic acid, folate, potassium, iron, copper, and manganese making it extremely nourishing especially for kids, pregnant women and old age people.
Punjabi style carrot & mushroom masala makes a great combo when paired with dal makhni, makke ki roti, steamed rice or potato pulao along with pomegranate raita (Anar ka raita) and instant garlic pickle.
